Does anybody have any gift ideas or homemade gift ideas?

Can anybody suggest innovative gift ideas in or around Atlanta?

  • For his last birthday, I treated my husband to a segway tour of Atlanta. In the past I've taken him to jazz clubs, cabarets, nice restaurants. I've bought him clothing, books .... I'm out of ideas! Can you think of anything cool/fun/different that's not a ton of money? Many thanks!

    If your husband is a NASCAR fan, then maybe think about giving him the "Richard Petty Driving Experience" at Atlanta Motor Speedway, down in Hampton...or even one of the racing schools that operate there...The Buck Baker Racing School and/or the Speed Tech Auto Racing School. www.atlantamotorspeedway.com He can take a one lap (he sits in a passenger seat while a driver takes the wheel) trip...up to a 10 lap or more, where he's at the wheel. You could treat him to a Spa Sydell outing, if it's in your price range. Most people (including myself) associate spas with women, but I'm sure your husband would love a day of pampering. It's even something you could do together. There's also a "behind the scenes" tour of the Georgia Aquarium that might be fun, if that's your sort of thing. Pack up and head to Chateau Elan for the weekend, or rent a house on Lake Lanier. There are also helicopter tours of the city. You've seen it from a Segway, why not from the air?
