What do I need to do in order to travel to Sydney?

  • I've known my friend online for about 3 years. At this point, she really wants me to visit her in Sydney. Being in an online relationship for 3 years, I'm really trying my hardest to plan a certain date to see her after I save up a good amount of money. So, I just wanted to know, what do I need to have or do before I ever plan a trip to Sydney, Australia? I would like to have a list of things I need to know

If you are an American citizen, you need to apply for an ETA visa. See site below and read section under Entry Requirements and follow the links there. You will also need a passport. See 2nd site for all passport application info.

I can relate to the whole online experience, going through that now. I'm in the US, he's in the UK. We haven't met in person yet, but we too use the webcam, and the telephone alot. My advice to you is go for it! but first of all get with a Traveling agency, they will take care of everything for you including hotel, and car rental if you need it, and usually its all included in your package.
