Photo taking?

Taking my passport photo?

i know it has to be 2x2, and a plain white background. can i take a photo with my own camera? or does it have to be like from a photo booth? the post office i am getting my passport from says i can either bring in a photo or have them take it. i'd rather save the $15 and do it myself.
Answer:

It is a real pain to take it yourself and get ot totally correct. Just spend $10.00 and get your photos taken at Walgreens or CVS or a similar place. It is not worth having your application rejected because you took your own photos and they were not exactly correct.
