What's your favorite place in Japan to visit?

Best place to visit during summer? Japan,England,or France?

  • I want to visit a place for summer next year but I don't know where for one I want to go to Japan to see Tokyo but I don't know if England or France is better. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help

Jules is incorrect on one count - Japan is in the northern hemisphere so they experience summer at the same time as we do in the US. I suggest going to England. We were in London last summer and had a great time. There's so much to see and do, the weather was pretty decent (not too hot, and it only rained a little bit), and obviously there's no language barrier. We also took a side-trip to Paris and saw the sights. Personally, I wasn't a big fan of Paris outside of the tourist spots.

It depends on a lot of things. Like the weather that you want to be able to escape from. Do you want to go to somewhere warmer or colder? Also it depends on what types of places to visit within the country. If the place you choose to visit is prettier in the summer then you might want to visit it first. Also if you feel like going to Japan will help you improve in Japanese, and France, French. And you have a lot of spare time in the Summer to go visit. Then that place would be best. So I guess just research the different places and have a mindset of what you want to "achieve" from the trip. Is it escaping from the heat, improving you foreign language skills, or just to enjoy the scenery? These are all something you can look into while choosing you favorite place to visit. Good luck on your decision!

I've been to both England and France but never Tokyo. England was the highlight of my entire life. I loved London so much that I am now planning to study abroad there. France was marvelous and stunning. I've never been to Japan, but I know they are very technologically advanced so that might be interesting. However, remember: When it's summer in America, it's winter in Japan. That might be something to keep in mind. Overall, I recommend England. England is an island so you can get to other European countries in a very short amount of time. I got from London to Paris in a 2.5 hour train ride, so if you go to England, you can see a lot more of Europe as well. Enjoy!

In Japan, this summer many people have been killed by crazy heat. Hope it will not happen next year.
