Change of plans after issued a Schengen visa by Swiss Embassy?

• I recently got a Schengen visa through the Swiss Embassy. However, due to change of plans, our stay in Switzerland was shortened and it will not be our main destination anymore. Our original plan was to fly to Paris then take the train to Switzerland and stay there longer. This is also the itinerary I submitted to the consulate when I applied for the visa. But because of the change of plans, we will be spending shorter time in Switzerland and more in France. I am now thinking of landing in Geneva instead of Paris so that at least our first port of entry is Switzerland (even if the roundtrip plane ticket to Paris is $150 cheaper). Will this be okay? Or should we extend our stay in Switzerland to make it our main destination? Please help me with this. Thanks!!!

  i think there is no problem if you fly to paris and enter there even though the visa is issued by swiss since it is schengen visa recently i got a schengen visa issued by slovakian embassy, but entered vienna and then reached zilina in slovakia by road. faced no problems. when i returned i flew out from prague in czech. there were no problems on entry or exit with schengen visa..( of course all the 3 contries are aprt of EU..)
