I am going on 3 night Caribbean cruise (Royal Caribbean, ocean view) in October for about $1200 airfare included. I am also planning an 7 day Alaskan cruise for next May. Thinking about a Mexico trip sometime, but just haven't figured out when. The best thing to do is make a list of places you want to see, things you want to do, your budget for all items (airfare, rental car, hotel, food, drink, activities, etc) and then just search the options. I have listed a good website for searching/booking trips which is where I book my travel through, if need help let me know.

Italy was Fantastic. We flew into Venice and took an 11-day tour. Venice, Florance (Tuscany), Pisa, Assissi, Rome/Vatican, Naples, Sorrento & Capri. Then we flew out of Naples. Total only cost $5000. for 2 of us including airfare, meals, hotels & transportation. New Zealand is also wonderful. I spent 2 weeks in Christchurch. If you get the opportunity, rent a car and go eat seafood in Kaikoura. Horseback riding on the beach, or spend the day at the incredible hotsprings.
