What can you do besides getting another passport about lost passports?

I have lost my passport twice in the last two years. Any chance of getting another one by Friday?

The first time I lost it I had to drive to D.C. (4.5 hours) and get a replacement because I was traveling soon. I am traveling again on Friday afternoon and I just realized that I am missing my passport. Is it possible to get another replacement passport and, if so, by Friday? Any other ways that I can still travel without the passport?
Answer:

American passport? Nope. Friday is tomorrow...no way. If you call a Regional Passport Agency, it takes a few days to get an appointment. If you use one of the private passport companies, still takes a couple of days...tho, I suppose you could call a couple of them and see.
