How long does EMS take to update tracking info?

I ordered something from China coming into the US. I received the tracking number for EMS: EE573275398CN on February 20, 2011. Today is February 23, 2011. When I check the tracking number on USPS and EMS website, it says there is no record of the item. How long does it take them to update the tracking number to at least "foreign acceptance"? Or did I get scammed?
