Does anyone have any suggestions for traveling solo? I want to go on vacation!!?

Hi there Catlover. I totally know what you are going through. I first started out with something easy like the Caribbean. Its far but not that far. I would recommend (if first time alone) staying in a nice hotel or if your budget does not allow a youth hostel. I found many of the hostels outside the states pretty nice. Japan is a safe place and has some of the top of the line youth hostels. I found that traveling alone to places like Egypt was not a good idea unless your were male. you really get hassled there. Bring something to read or a journal , for when you get bored. headphones when you are trying to ignore some of the over eager sellers. Don't be scared I have covered most of the world and I met more people that are my life long friends then when I went with other people. Go for it let me know what you decide. Don't know how old you are but Contiki does tours for 18-35 year olds and will room you with someone so there is no single supplement. I have done several of there tours and have made several friends.
