Where to go for 4th of July in Los Angeles?

Need advice, have hols booked from 27th dec to 4th jan. Shall we go los angeles or new york.?

I would chose New York.It's not christmas without the snow.All the light and tree in Rockefeller center and ice skating on the rink.
