Hi i'm in school looking to take a job as a travel agent. I want to know more info about what they do. 1. How much does a travel agent make? I live in the United states 2. What do they do? Is it all about selling airline tickets to people? Or what more can you do? 3. Can your family and friends travel for free? Or just a very low cost 4. If low cost? Then how much percentage can your family or friend get ? 5. Is it a easy company? and if you can add any more info about a travel agent. Maybe the good or bad of it. That would be great. Travel agents are almost extinct now. People used to go to travel agents and they would plan your entire trip for you if you liked including itineraries etc. My mother in law used to be a travel agent and loved it. But now a days it is so easy to book your own trips on line at websites like Travelocity that noone uses agents much anymore.
