Is it cheaper to live in new york or in London (UK) ?

  I live just outside of London and have family living in New York so I kind of get the best of both worlds. I WOULD have said London because its a smaller city than New York and is always considered as the second best behind NY, but right now, living in England in general is VERY expensive, let alone living in London. I'd say NY is better for both jobs and entertainment. NY is just a bigger city so of course there will be more to do there, and the employment situation in England is very bad now aswell so I doubt London would be better than NY for jobs.
