Where Is Romania?

If someone were traveling from San Fransisco, California to Romania, where would they have to stop before...?

    I live in Boston, and I find I usually have to transfer in Amsterdam when traveling to central and eastern Europe. A good shortcut for you would be to use one of the travel websites, like Kayak.com or Expedia.com to figure out the most common ways to fly there from San Francisco. Someone from San Francisco probably has to go through Chicago or NYC to get on a Europe-bound flight, but I don't really know. Good luck with your research!

The plane would probably have about 1 or 2 layovers because of the long distance. It depends on the airline but common possibilities include Detroit, Amsterdam, Minneapolis, London, Paris, Chicago, Seattle, etc.
