Moving to US with HGV License?

Would it be difficult to move over to the USA with a HGV License? I mean would I be able to get a work visa and become a trucker over there? It has always been a dream of mine and I really want to accomplish it. Thanks in Advance guys :)

You would almost certainly have to complete an HGV driving test in the USA as a) they drive on the right and b) their regulations are completely different to those in the UK and Europe. No truck company in the uk would take you on as a driver without knowing the relevant laws and having experience, and it would be exactly the same in the USA. The previous responder is also quite correct re: visas. You have to get an offer of work first in order to qualify for a work visa. The company that offers you the job also sponsors your visa. No work = no visa. To get a work visa you have to show that you have certain skills and experience that are in short supply in the US economy, and/or advanced qualifications (at least honours degree level or higher) in specific subjects. You cannot move to American, then look for a job. You must find an employer first and he applies for the work via for you. Unemployment is so high right now, employers are not motivated to go to all that trouble. And, you would have to take the training and get a new license. A foreign license would be of no use. Sorry, chances of working in the U.S. are nil.
