What's THE best vacation that you have ever been on?

Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, around 1987. Fantastic, fun night train rides with a fun friend, and we had places to stay everywhere. She had family and friends! Lucky me, and I also fell in love in Amsterdam and stayed on for another month. Awesome!

I would have to say my best vacation so far is when I went to Montana with family. We went through the Yellowstone National park and saw many many wonderful sites. We also had a very special chance to go whitewater rafting. That was an amazing experience...although it was 103 degrees out ...we went 8 miles down river and I had NO suntan lotion on. I was quite the lobster after I got done. but boy , did I have fun!

For our 25th anniversary, 7 day cruise from Vancouver (with a whole day there prior, beautiful city, would like to go back) to Alaska, four day land tour Anchorage/Fairbanks/Denali. Spectacular. Not cheap, but the best vacation $$ we've spent.

Backpacking through Europe for two months. We had no schedule, no cares (except money), and no responsibilities. We went anywhere we wanted to, stayed as long as we wanted to, and then moved on. We hung out in local cafes and pubs, sampled local food and drink in every country, and met people from all over the world. I learned more on that trip than on ten guided tours put together.

Montego Bay....rented a villa with a pool with 3 friends and we spent the week by the pool (with the odd trip to see the sights) and had a blast....just hung out with good friends and enjoyed the sun.

Thailand for a month, but it was before the tsunami. And I lived in the carribean when I was a kid (Antigua), that was amazing.

I got to go to 7 countries last year in europe. It was a bus tour. I got to see so much. I had been wanting to go to europe for years, so finally me and my boyfriend booked the trip. It was amazing. I want to go back!
