Is the 2001 Honda Civic reliable for a first car?

• I'm 17 and I'm looking for my first car and the first car brand that popped in my head was Honda. Honda is, I'd say, a brand that would last up to 15 years. For example my cousin started out with a '95 civic in 1997. Now he still has it and it still runs like a charm. He hasn't had any problems with it. Since I've heard from other people their civic has been running well with no problems, should I start out with a 2001 honda civic. i want to start out with the Civic because it has excellent gas mileage, 35mpg hwy/28 city. Not only that It's got a good 36in leg room in the back and good safety ratings. Is this car live up to be a respected "last a long time" car? If this car isn't what I've expected or should I go for a Honda Accord

  You already answered your own question, Hondas are always reliable Check out "million mile joe" these Hondas can last forever. And they have awesome aftermarket parts (that are cheap) they make your car look cool:) I say yu Getit!
