Can I bring food on the airplane?

  • I am flying American Airlines from PA to Vegas. It says on the website I can purchase food from them. Can I bring my own food? I dont want to eat crappy airline food

yes you can! It's just gotta fit in your carry on bag which you don't want to be too big!

Sure I have seen people bring KFC on the plane and eat it. No one said anything.

Actually, the food you buy on the airlines is generally better than you get for free. Nice wraps, etc. Not sure what American Airlines offers. I've seen people bring all kinds of food on a plane, with no problems. I'm not aware of any restrictions. Of course, one should be considerate of one's seat mates (no limburger!).

You can bring food on a plane but I'd recommend purchasing it in the airport terminal once you have passed through security. Depending on how the food is packaged and wrapped, and what utensils they put in the package, you may have a hassle at security. And many airports only allow you to bring UNOPENED bottles of soda or water through security.
