What's the difference between a hotel and an inn?

Whats the different between an inn and a hotel?

    A hotel is much bigger, more commercial and is usually a big corporation, An inn is normally small, a house or pub etc and is not a corporation just a small family business etc.. Ohh and an inn will have breakfast :)

Well I always thought that a hotel would have more facilities and would be a bit bigger. An inn i think would be simple i guess but to me really they're both the same basically! :)
