How much are Priceline fees?

I want to ask about using Priceline for booking Hotels...?

• I'm sure this gets asked a lot, but it's my first time booking a hotel and I'm just slightly paranoid. Anyways, I already have a specific hotel in mind and according to their site the complete total will be roughly $800, including taxes & fees. Are there any other additional fees I should know about? (Such as Priceline charging me for their services or the hotel charging me for who knows what else.) I just want to be ready with the exact amount upon arrival or is the $800 really all that I'll have to pay?

  I would call the hotel and see if they will match Priceline's price. They may not, but it is worth a try. Also, the hotel clerks will know if guests are complaining about "extra fees" that Priceline did not warn them about. I used to work at a hotel, and Priceline would show pictures of a King size suite, then book people into standard rooms. Again, hotel staff will know about complaints from Priceline users. You can also ask about specific fees like for parking, early check-in, pets, etc. All that being said, I have used Priceline and gotten exactly what I expected at the price they showed with no added fees. Also, be aware that many hotels will ask for a security deposit in case you want to make phone calls, watch movies, etc. That will be given back at check out or you can decline it, but it is not normally included in quoted prices.
