Where shall I go on holiday this year?
-
Im looking to go away on holiday with my boyfriend... we want to go whenever its cheapest so we wont be going august time or summer holiday season! We want to be doing acitivities or site seeing, not sitting on just beaches all day. We want to go somewhere different , we always go to SPAIN SPAIN SPAIN lol so this year we want to try something tropical or cultural. We were looking at thailand goa dominican rep indonesia bali . So does anyone have any suggestions of where we can go, and for the cheapest... We know it wont be any where near as cheap as spain, but we have money saved and want to spend it wisely. Somewhere tropical with good activities. So where would you go? Any advice welcomed with open arms!! :) Has any one been to any of these destinations, or know any other good ones? What are you personal opinions!? Thanks JESS XXX <3

Hi :) We are going to india in september..mumbai,goa, and hampi...it's not the tourist season so is a great time to get flights cheaply if you want to do the holiday yourself instead of using a travel agent, fly to mumbai then on to dabolim its a lot cheaper if you decide to go to goa. Been to thailand the last three years and august is a great time to go again its the off tourist season, so cheap flights hotels etc...it does rain hard for about one hour a day, but the rest isall sun. I dont understand why people go to spain year after year, when they can go further a field and experience a different culture and far superior beaches. for less than a hol to spain would cost. I seriously tell you to consider thailand...you will love it :D did a check for you in august emirates from the uk for return flight to bangkok is 439 with southall travel from london or manchester, fly with air asia to phuket return from £24 hotel in patong (seeka boutique) for 7 nights £75 few days on phi phi island £30 bangkok heritige suites £50....... So for 2 weeks in thailand for flights, hotel, transfers staying in decent hotels you can do it for less than £590....Not bad :D

Tahiti is a great place. Scuba diving is always a fun activity. You can also go windsurfing, you could feed the sharks, or you can even take a helicopter tour. I hope this helped.

Thailand is certainly a major bargain this year BUT it's a long haul flight, and if your time is limited, you might want somewhere closer to home. How about a country with over 70 great beaches along its coastline, where rare green turtles nest and you can soak up the sunshine without fighting for your space? Where you can explore ancient palaces built by Persians, ruined towns walked by Romans, castles sacked by Crusaders, and vast walls defended by Venetians? Or scuba dive over ancient harbours, paraglide from high mountains down to the coast below, or play Lewis Hamilton for a night on a floodlit go-kart track? The sip a cool local beer that's one of Europe's favourite, before tucking into tasty food that combines the flavours of the Mediterranean and the tastes of the Middle east? Then dance under the stars at an open air beach, to international djs? And all just four hours' flying time from the UK, where they DON'T use the Euro, so prices re still low (about a third less than the rest of the Euro zone)? The location? (drum roll please) North Cyprus! See the websites below for great deals, including free upgrades at hotels in North Cyprus.

Why not try Hong Kong? It is a fantastic city, and is excellent for shopping , sightseeing , eating, you name it. Hong Kong has a Jumbo Floating restaurant , wonderfully scrumptious seafood and dim sum restaurants, Victoria Peak, Ocean Park (with the world's longest outdoor escalator), Hong Kong Disneyland, Temple St. night markets, Stanley Market, and most impressive of all - the Giant Buddha statue on Lantau Island. Really it is a shopper's paradise, there are lots of trendy boutiques/ glitzy malls and street stalls if you're into that kind of thing too. I have been to Hong Kong at least 4 times, I would recommend going when it is around November or February (Chinese New Year) time as it will be much much cooler and will be a more pleasant travelling experience than , say , if you were to go in the summer. I appreciate though your budget may not stretch that far - an alternative is you could try the South of France, although I have only been once there were lots to see & do - Nice, Monaco, Monte Carlo, Eze & Cannes were all within short distances of each other, but each village/town had it's own unique attractions! Eze has a perfume factory that you can walk around with a guide, I found this very fascinating.....Monaco is very beautiful & I bumped into celebrities in Cannes! The beach at Nice is so so beautiful. Hope you find this helpful.

Hello Jessica, Last Year I visited Bali with my girl friend. It was really an amazing place. I stayed at http://www.miavilla.com a cheap villa with all facilities. The villa was luxurious and offered comfort at economic rates. Further more Bali has many place to discover and explore. Adventurous sports are also available at Bali. You too can surely have a great time at Bali at the cheapest rate.

Hi Jess, what sort of budget are you working with? There are still great places in Europe which are cultural, offer activities and adventure and great beaches. You can even try a tour of a few different European countries so that each one can give you what you're looking for. I work with London Luton Airport and there's a great section on the website where you find out more information on different destinations. Here's the link: http://www.london-luton.co.uk/en/destinationmap/. Hope this helps. Claire
