Traveling to England & France...B&B or Hotel...which is better & less expensive?

The answer previously given by Ken (youth hostels) is correct. That is if you're under 26 and do not mind conditions that may lack comfort and privacy. Normally, hotels are more abundant, have a wider range of levels and prices (and therefore can be less expensive) and much easier to find and get a room than B&B's. Some people, especially couples, prefer B&B's because of the romantic setting (in the countryside, normally). They are willing to pay more and stray from the beaten path to find these places.
