Honeymoon in September?

Best time to book Mediterranean honeymoon for next august-September?

  • I haven't traveled much in my life and I'm so looking forward to my honeymoon next year. We haven't finalized where we want to go yet, but I am really interested in going to the Mediterranean. I want to go to Turkey for a few days, then travel Greek islands and maybe go to Athens. I want my honeymoon to be relaxing and spend few days just laying on the beach and the other few days traveling around and sight seeing for 2 week total. We were thinking to set aside $6,000 US, would that be doable for a 2 week trip, if we want to stay in nice hotels (not necessarily 5 star, but decent) We're getting married August 27, 2011 and wanted to go to our honeymoon short after that. Is the first weekend of September a good time to travel to that part of the world? Is that the most expensive time and would it make sense to wait a few weeks? And finally, how far in advance should we book that trip? I tried to look up prices but the information is not yet available that far in advance. thank you

(14 days) My advice? ~ Go to a local travel agent & utilize their expertise to plan a successful honeymoon! Let the pros handle the important details. Book your travel ASAP & put down a 10% Deposit.
