How much does Visa's cost for sommeone in India to get to come to the USA?

I need to know how much is the visa processing in India to come here to the united states. For example how much clearly would they need for money for the visa processing to come to the U.S.A.. What is all involved if they wanted to come here. Also the airline tickets also they would need to purchase. How long would it take for all this to be completed. Serious questions only. I dont want to go to India, my friend from India wants to come here. So, how much would all this cost for him to do this with the processing of coming to USA.

In case you do not have one, you will need a valid passport ($50). Also, you have to pay for the visa to be mailed to you after the interview ($20). Now, there are many other variables. If you do not live near a Consulate, you will have to pay for travel and possible lodging expenses. Then you will need to take a day off work. Of course, the entire cost is very little when compared to the cost of the plane ticket and lodging expenses while in the U.S.
