Any ideas for a memorable birthday in Paris?

Any ideas on where i can go for the weekend for a special birthday?

• i will be 50 in august of this year(dread it, as i dont feel it or look it or so i am told!) i dont really want to celebrate this at home anywhere( live in united kingdom) i told my husband that i would love us to go away somewhere, even if it is just for the weekend. unfortunatly, we can not afford to go too mad as we are just two ordinary working people, but i would love to go somewhere to give me a birthday to remember. i don think we can afford to just jet off to paris(wish we could!) but i am stuck for nice places to go. i even thought of going to scotland, because belive it or not, although we have been on lovely holidays before, scotland is a place that i have never been even though its not a million miles away! have you any ideas or suggestions on where we can go to make this a special birthday. i would be very gratefull. thank you in advanced.

  Rent a nice Bed and Breakfast for the weekend. Get out a map, and pick your place. Kick up your heels, relax, have nice romantic dinners out. Your husband may have a special surprise for you.
