Any ideas on the best place to take our family on holiday abroad, we have two children 4yrs old and 18 months,

I'd definately recommend Alcudia in Mallorca. Absolutely fantastic place for a family holiday, and as the flight's only 2 hours, it's not too long for the kids. I went when I was 11, back in 2001, my sister was 5. We are a family of four, we stayed in a hotel called the Maritimo, unbelievably clean and very classy. Amazing restaurant. It was lovely in general. As was Alcudia itself. 7 miles of golden beaches, a quiet, family friendly resort. You wont get the groups of Brits out on the p*ss, it's well known for being a resort for the families. Anyway, I hope you look into it! and wherever you decide to go, I hope you and your family have a fantasic holiday! The old favourite (Spain) is a favourite for a reason - short flights, not TOO hot, lots of people speak English, there are familiar shops around and you'll be able to buy baby food/nappies etc that you recognise and trust. The Costa del Sol area is slightly less tacky than the likes of Benidorm and Salou but it depends what you are looking for. Menorca is lovely and very family-orientated. If you can put up with a slightly longer flight, though, I can also recommend Greece, especially Zante and Corfu. All the above apply, plus the Greeks love children and are generally very helpful to parents. It tends to be a bit hotter than Spain though, so be careful of the sun. Hope you have a great time!

Discover Bulgaria! We've all been to Spain etc. The coast of Bulgaria is as nice as any other holiday resort in Europe. A recent teletext holidays survey for the best value holiday destination was Bulgaria. As well as being good value for money the people here are extremely friendly too!

I would highly recommend Alcudia in Majorca. Miles of sandy beaches, shallow calm sea, loads of entertainment every day and night. I took my grandaughter a couple of years ago and she reckons its the best holiday ever. Check it out, you wont find a more ideal resort for taking little ones. HAPPY HOLLIES.

costa brava in spain its beautiful and weve got there from manchester in just an hour and 20 mins-by the time youve got comfy and eaten your ready to get off the plane-it has lovely beaches/scenery etc and youll find that its probably the cheapest in the travel agents as people now tend to go to other places in spain-ive stayed in costa brava about 7 times with my kids and will be going again in august-please email me if u want to know good hotels etc

Try Salou in Spain. Its wonderfull there. Its a beach resort, full of English bars/pubs with a great bar called Champions which has a children's entertainer nearly every night. Theres a theme park and water park near by.. access to Barcelona n other nice place by cheap coach trips. Theres plenty to do there for all ages. Its where I'm going to go again when my little one is older. From Leeds n Bradford airport it only takes 2 hours n 45 Min's max..Closer you are down south...quicker it will be. Hope this helps x
