How long does it take for a package to clear customs in San Fransisco?

  • I have a package coming in from china that just made it into customs today. Im a little worried because I need the package by friday which is in 2 days, and from what I've seen it can take weeks for a package to clear customs. Should I be concerned and preparing for the worst or will it be ok. Also, does it make any difference in customs if the package has express shipping. Im not really used to ordering things from outside of the country so Im a little anxious.

You need to understand that customs agents are government employees. As such they have two speeds, slow and slower. They couldn't care less that you paid for express shipping. No way will you see your package by Friday.
