Why do American cruise line companies like Disney employee people from all over the world?

I have been on a carnival cruise and am going on another Disney cruise and i just always wanted to know why that is. i asked an employee on the carnival cruise but they didn't really know why lol. seems interesting.

In my opinion I belief because since they are from different parts of the world they know different languages which they can use to communicate with foreign passengers to give them a better experience
