Is Brazil a safe place to travel and live in?

  • i am doing a project on Brazil and need some information on the saftey and freedom of young people? I know that in Brazil in some particular areas there is a lot of gangs, but how dangerous is it and how wide spread is the problem? thanks

    It depend according to the place you want to go in,there are some places that are dangerous and others are safe.The small cities are usually safer than the big ones. OMG,How can people think that the stupid movie "turistas" is based on a true story? This movie is full of prejudices against Brazil,shame on the ones who like this movie!!!

Depends where you live. I suppose in any country the city would be the safest place to live.. Theres danger everywhere.. have you seen the movie turista? it was based on a true story and happened in brazil.
