Has anybody used 'EarPlanes' when flying? Do they work when u have a cold?
-
I have a cold atm and have to fly tonight. I'm all congested and my eustachian tubes (the tube from your ear to throat) are slightly blocked. I'm going to take Sudafed, but wanted to know if anybody's used 'Ear Planes?' Which are supposed to equalise the pressure when flying? And do they work? If so, how do u use them properly I just really don't want to get burst ear drums! Thanks

Answer:
They do seem to help many people, but since you have a cold maybe you should talk with the pharmacist or your doctor about the implications of using them. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/archive/t-4450.html
