Scared to travel alone for the first time?
-
I've only ever travelled with my family but I'm planning on booking a TopDeck tour next summer which is spending 24 days in europe. The reason why I opted for a tour group is so that I won't be alone lol but am still attending solo so I just have a fear, not exactly what it is though. Also whenever I mention it to my mum she's not happy about it saying I should get a friend to go with me but my friends are not interested in touring europe as most would rather stay in London and party. Also mum keeps saying I'm mad to share a room with strangers but that is part of the tour/experience; single sex room share of up to four max. The funny thing Is I love being alone so its weird that I'm excited but also very worried about being away by myself for the first time, but it is different being alone in your own space in your home country (london for me) compared to a foreign country/countries. Therefore, I've considered if I should book the 14 day or 20 days trip instead yet the 24 day is the most appealing to me. Oh I'll be 26years old by thee time I travel so I'm an adult lol. I've had a REALLY tough time the past 3 years regarding my ex and feel this trip is what I really need. Anyway I'm planning to pay my deposit this friday so any thoughts? Am I just over thinking as always and should just throw caution to the wind and just go??? The trips are: *European Wonder 14 days, Visit 8 countries - France, Switzerland, Italy, Vatican City, Austria, Germany, Netherlands & Belgium *European Getaway 20 days, Visit 10 countries - France, Switzerland, Monaco, Italy, Vatican City, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Netherlands & Belgium *Spirit of Europe 24 days, Visit 13 countries - France, Switzerland, Monaco, Italy, Vatican City, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Netherlands & Belgium

Auora, I was seventeen when I took my first international trip. The first hour can be a little daunting, once your up in that jet, trust me you will be fine. Take the 20 day European. You will also meet lots of new friends.

You won't be alone. Just be open to making friends. The biggest mistake you can make is being afraid to be yourself. Don't be shy. Just being the outgoing person you are. People who love to travel usually get along VERY well. Trust me :) :) :) I say this because I made this very mistake when I traveled in the same fashion to Japan when I was 17 years old.
