Seabands or Psi Bands for motion sickness?

Next month, I'm going on vacation. It's an 18 hour car ride, and I have a tendency to get car sick after awhile. I remembered that my friend uses 'Seabands', and says they help with Motion Sickness. I started researching them a little bit, and also stumbled upon something similar called 'Psi Bands'. I was wondering if anyone's tried either, and which would be better? I've never tried bands before (obviously, since I'm asking about them), but I've decided I'm going to give them a try. And if all else fails, I'll stop at a drug store and get some Dramamine or something (although, I'd rather not take that stuff, since it makes me really drowsy and... loopy.). So, Sea bands or Psi bands? Psi bands certainly look a little more... fashionable? Although, I suppose I don't really care how it looks if one works better. But, I just figured atleast Psi bands kinda look like a watch or bracelet, versus sea bands, which look like sweat bands....

Three things that set Psi Bands apart from the other you mention: 1) more adjustable - both around the wrist and at the pressure point for a more individualized fit (and more likelihood it will sit correctly on the acupressure point and work better) 2) waterproof - so if you need to you can keep them on when you shower, wash dishes, swim, etc. 3) more fashionable - already noted that

I would guess that half of my patients report that the Sea-Bands help them. Ginger (ginger candy, etc.) can also be helpful. Good prescription medicines include the TransDerm Scop patch (good for 3 days) and ondansetron (generic Zofran). Neither causes much in the way of drowsiness and moodiness. Have a good trip!
