What to pack for Italy?

What do I pack for my holdiay to Italy - 24 June - 10 july?

  • My husband and I are holidaying to Italy on the above dates. We are also planning to go to Paris for 2 nights. I am 25 and he is 27 and we are both in the Army so we are pretty fit and healthy for walking/site seeing. We are not sure what to pack. Please help us learn what to pack.

  • Answer:

Bring wash and wear type of clothing, usually cotton knits and pants, a light jacket a pair of comfortable walking shoes and maybe a set of semi-formal clothes in case you want to visit one of the more expensive clubs or restaurant. Travel light is best as you may be making purchases along the way which will add to your luggage. And don't forget to bring your minimum toiletries such as tootbrush and toothpaste. If you are staying in hotels, no need to bring soap or towels. and ond;t forget to bring any prescription medicines you will require. And lastly, bring a digital camera or video to record you holidays. Good luck and enjoy.

I'm researching Italy myself for a future trip. Here's some tips from what I've found: It's going to be pretty hot and muggy over there. Mediterranean weather is normally pretty humid. Also, Italy in the summer can be very crowded, especially in Rome and Venice. Be careful where you put your wallet... there are quite a few pocket-pickers in the train stations and touristy areas. Good thing you are healthy because walking is the easiest way to get around most Italian cities. In Rome there's a subway and bus system too, which might be helpful, but in Venice there's not many alternatives. Hope this helps!

PlanB

You will need to pack summery, cool clothes because the temperatures can be around 30 degrees in these places. But if you come from a very hot country then this temperature may seem cool compared to what you are used to, so it depends. But I would recomend t-shirts, shorts and summery skirts etc. eg. http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&q=summer%20outfit&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi Also remember to take a jumper with a hood, for colder evenings, and incase it rains. eg. https://www.hoodiepeople.com/product_images/v/mx_ashexpose_12203_2__06517.jpg
