What should I pack for a church camp?

You will want to pack for all kinds of weather because even in the summer time, it can get rainy and chilly outside in Illinois. You might want to check on the internet and see what the weather will be like that week... you can usually get a 10-day forecast for any location. So, pack shorts, jeans, a sweater, water repellant jacket, swimsuit, tank tops, long sleeved shirts to protect from sun if you get burned. The camp should give you a list of what toiletries you will need, and how much will be provided for you. Be sure and ask for that if they don't! Be sure and take some kind of sun screen and mosquito repellant. Also a hat of some kind, to keep your head from getting overheated and to block the sun from your eyes. Sunglasses would be a good idea, too. Take shoes that support your feet well, as you probably will do more walking than you usual. Of course, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, comb, shampoo, deodorant, etc. Samples from the drugstore are nice for this, so you won't have such a heavy bag of cosmetics. And of course, don't forget your pajamas, a robe, and some flipflops to keep you from getting athletes foot in the showers.
