What can I Bring in to Canada?

What foods can I bring into the States from Canada?

  • Hi, I will be staying in the states for 6 months in an RV and I need to know what I can bring across the border. For example: Alcohol, meats, vegetables/fruits, milk Does anyone have any links or websites that can specifically tell me what I can and cannot cross the border with? Please make sure the link is 2008 updated! Thank you very much!

  • Answer:

if you can afford a rv trip for 6 months, throw out every thing and when you cross the border stop and buy fresh, probably stale by now any ways

Basically, none of those you listed. Alcohol can be brought in in small quantities or else you will have to pay duty. Any raw or uncooked foods are not allowed. Try looking on the US CBP website.

Or look at agriculture web site/ no citrus, meat, vegies, plants, fresh items, things in dirt, etc. Anything in a package is OK. I would plan to eat all your fresh stuff before you come across.
