What are airlines that allow pets to be onboard?

Most airlines will allow pets to travel domestically for a fee. Small dogs are permitted in cabin but have to meet age requirements (8wks), emay need a health certificate (I thought they had to but found one airline who didn't), and should be kept in a crate during the entire flight (most require a soft-sided crate). Each airline will have it's own requirements and fees so it's best to try and find your flight and then check with that company's policies. Also you should be able to find out what they are by searching the website for "pet policy" or "pet travel". I <literally> just booked my flight to New Orleans to pick up my puppy in a few weeks. I HIGHLY recommend picking him/her up versus shipping them. I had 1 of my other dogs shipped and will NEVER do it again. Had I know then (7 yrs ago) that I could have easily flown down to get him, I'd have done it. :-) I know this isn't a straight forward answer but hopefully it helps! FYI - I paid $125 to have my new guy fly with me. After booking the flight through Priceline, I was able to go to the Continental website and add on the pet fee.
