What should I pack for my trip to NC in December?

  • I've never flown alone before, and yes I am 18. I'm flying to Jacksonville, NC this December to visit my friend who is in the marines. I will be there for 11 days, and I won't be able to be with him constantly because he hast to work. Can you give me any suggestions on what to pack? Clothes and other items? Thank you!

    It will be in the 50's to 60's so you won't need heavy sweaters but maybe long sleeve shirts, jeans and a jacket.

Dress warmly. Layers. make sure you have a top under your sweater that will allow you to remove your sweater if you become too hot. It's cold outside but most buildings are too warm to wear a sweater inside for too long!!!

many many layers!!! i suggest u bring ur laptop on the plane. get those free trials of games on bigfish.com or aolgames.com and save them to ur computer so u can play them on the plane since there's no internet connection. i also find coloring book amusing (i know ur 18 but they're still fun). i hope u have a ton of fun!

December in NC can be extremely unpredictable - as others suggest, dress in layers to add or remove as the temperature changes. Have at least one pair of high-top shoes - snow is unlikely (but possible); rain at least one day while there likely.
