Does USPS deliver mail the day after Thanksgiving?

Will USPS Express Mail deliver the day after?

• I'm a little confused since I haven't had to deal with Express Mail until now. I called the place that is mailing back a very important document (it is being mailed within the same state). When I was at their facility, I paid the 19 dollars for the flat rate envelope. They said they mailed my document late yesterday (around or after 4pm). That is the cutoff time and so I guess I should be expecting the document to be mailed tomorrow by noon. Does this mean the package is expected tomorrow since it was mailed after the cutoff time? They also gave me a tracking number. As of now (around noon today) there is no record of the item. Is this normal and would I have to wait until later to see any change in the tracking?

  yes it is normal. Some trucking number don;t show nothing until it's delivered and yes they should deliver it next business day.
