I'm in China and want to fly home to Canada by Air Canada. Can I take two duffle bags and a carry-on? Help!!!?
-
Thanks for reading this question. I'd look up the information myself, but I'm in China right now and for some reason the Air Canada website isn't available here. Maybe it's the province I'm in; I don't know. I'm in Wuxi, China, and want to fly home to Halifax, Canada. I came with one duffle bag and a carry-on, but now I want to return to Canada with two duffle bags and a carry-on. I need to know if I can take two big bags and a carry-on soon. Please post a reply! Thanks, - Jacob

Answer:
Jacob, The following are from the Air Canada Web Site: For checked bags - Economy Service: Maximum number of bags*(per person) 2 bags; Maximum weight per bag* 23kg (50lb); Maximum linear dimensions per bag** (length + width + height) 158cm (62in) * No piece may exceed 32 kg (70lb) in weight, 292 cm (115 in) in linear dimensions (length + width + height, wheels and handles included) or 203 cm (80 in) in length. For baggage exceeding limits in number, size and/or weight, please refer to Excess Baggage Fees. ** Garment bags may exceed these linear dimensions, though the maximum number and weight restrictions still apply. For carry-on - Each passenger is allowed to carry on one standard article and one personal article. 1 standard article (e.g. roller bag); Maximum size 23 cm x 40 cm x 55 cm(9" x 15.5" x 21.5"); Maximum weight 10 kg(22 lbs). 1 personal article (e.g. laptop); Maximum size 16 cm x 33 cm x 43 cm (6" x 13" x 17"); Maximum weight 10 kg(22 lbs) Excess baggage - International (All Other Destinations)** Economy Class Overweight Between 23kg and 32kg(50lb - 70lb) and/or Oversized* Between 160cm and 292cm(63in - 115in); $100 CAD/USD† per bag If a bag is both overweight and oversized, the fee is charged only once. * Sizes indicate linear dimensions per bag (length + width + depth). ** Excludes Brazil and Japan - (Please contact Air Canada Reservations for details on excess fees to these destinations) † Exception - For reservations made before May 15, 2008, overweight fee is only $75 CAD/USD and the oversize fee is $120 CAD/USD. Note:If your itinerary includes a flight operated by another airline, baggage allowance and fees may vary with other carriers.
