Backpacking through Europe: Luggage Question?
-
I'm planning on backpacking through Europe for a few weeks next Spring AFTER I have spent a semester studying abroad in Salzburg, Austria. I'm wondering what luggage I should bring with me to Europe, so that I could easily go "backpacking" afterwards. Should I invest in one giant backpack and try to shove everything in there, or use a rolling suitcase? Usually, I would never bring a lot backpacking, but since I will be in Europe for about three months beforehand it's almost inevitable. I also don't want to have to lug around too many suitcases or duffel bags. Are there any places to store suitcases? Is lugging one giant rolling suitcase around a bad idea? Please let me know your thoughts

Answer:
Surely you can find a place to store your excess when it's time to go backpacking. Don't try to haul it all with you.
