What to pack for Vancouver trip?

How to pack lightly for a camping trip/school field trip?

  • I'm going on a 3 day school trip, I'm in 6th grade. Last year for the trip I overpacked. A lot. So I need LOTS of tips on how to pack lightly and smartpacking. Everything has to fit in a small backpack (except sleeping bag). THE LIST: • 2 pairs of shoes- hiking boots and sneakers • 2 pairs of long pants: "warm up suit pants" and jeans • 2 pairs of shorts: - gym shorts (nylon) and cotton shorts • 2 or 3 t-shirts (a mix of short and long-sleeved shirts) • 1 fleece sweater • 1 warm coat • a good quality raincoat • a fleece or pile stocking cap • underwear and socks • sleeping bag and pillow • water bottle • bathroom articles - towel, washcloth, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, facewash • sunscreen and lip balm • bug spray • day pack • flashlight Optional Items • sunglasses • camera • baseball cap or broad brimmed hat sooo how to pack lightly ALL THIS KRAP in a duffel? thanks

  • Answer:

you wear one pair of long pants, the heavier shoes, the sweater with underwear under it, baseball hat, and carry your coat and water bottle make sure that your warm coat is rainproof and eliminate the raincoat! the sleeping bag folds up itself and buy an inflatible pillow for cosmetics, go the the local drugstore / Target and get sample size containers
