What to bring to Paris this Winter?

• Hello, I am going to Paris and to Vichy this December/January. I am just wondering what should I pack? I have gone to both Paris and Vichy before, but it was in the spring-time. I am 18, and I will be traveling by myself (staying with my friends for a week when I am in Vichy, then a little over a week in Paris with my aunt). I do plan to go to a few night clubs. What should I pack for the night clubs? My last trip I didn't go to any night clubs, so I am extremely unfamiliar with the Paris night-life scene. Thank you soooo much in advance! :)

  For outside, expect the weather to be around freezing, but it might be a bit colder. It can snow in that time but it is rare in December and not that common in January. Within buildings the temperature will be about the same as in spring, but can be warmer or colder as people like it. Layers is the best option to adjust to the temperatures. If you expect to be outside a lot, consider to bring an extra layer for your legs as well, that can be long johns but leggings or even pantyhose will do. For your top half, layers too. Try to use a waterproof outer layer outside. A rain jacket over a warm fleece jacket will be more useful than a woolen winter coat when out in the rain. If you go out into the cold weather, specially when you are not used to it, cover your head and ears. And have gloves or mittens handy. A lot depends on the temperatures you are used to, if it is freezing with snow and strong winds where you live, you might find Paris and Vichy mild and wet. But if you come from a warm area without much winter, you will feel the cold. For going out, why not bring what you would wear going out at home? Or, if your friends are about your age, talk with them just before coming? You might even want to go shopping in France to pick up the latest in fashion.
