How to ship large boxes internationally?

DO anyone know how much 4-5 BIG BOXES WILL COST TO SHIP?

  • I ORDERED THE 25 PACK OF LARGE BOXES FROM USPS TO SHIP AT A FLAT RATE AND THEY ARE EXTREMELY SMALL. i'M MOVING FROM ST PAUL MN TO HOUSTON TX AND I'M THINKING WILL IT BE EASIER TO SHIP 4-5 REALLY BIG BOXES?I'M ONLY TRYING TO SPEND $300-$500 FOR SHIPPING AND I'M MOVING A SMALL STUDIO AND I HAVE NO FURNITURE. IT'S MAINLY CLOTHES, BOOKS,PERSONAL ITEMS ETC. I DO NOT KNOW ANY WEIGHT OR LENGTH OR ANYTHING I JUST WANT A GUEST ESTIMATE, OR THE BEST WAY TO SHIP! I WILL BE TRAVELING GREYHOUND!

  • Answer:

You have many choices, the first is you can ship the boxes with Greyhound terminal to terminal. Or you can ship the boxes ground service through UPS or FEDEX. And then theirs Motor Freight. You would have to put the boxes on to a pallet, shrink wrap it and strap it to the pallet. So it can be transported as one unit. Then you will need to find out what class the freight will travel under. Personal items are rated at a higher class then books, the lower the class the less it is to ship. As far as the cost you are right in the ball park with your own estimate of $300 to $500. When getting a quote from UPS or FEDEX ask for their hundred weight service.

I would not recommend flat rate shipping (Priority Mail). It's faster to ship, therefore more expensive. Just ship regular mail (First Class/Parcel Post) Below sites will help
