Air China's Baggage Allowance?

Is it possible to book an extra flight with ryan air just for extra baggage allowance?

  • we are moving to Fuerteventura at the end of the year and there 15kg bag allowance per person just isnt enough, i could do with an extra 10-15kg and the cost of excess baggage is quite high, so i thought it would be cheaper to pay for an extra ticket - is this possible????

    If you think it's worth it ask a friend along offering to pay the trip if they will take some of your luggage along. You are allowed to take a second bag per person but it costs £35 per bag per person..so if you're 2 persons that will be £70 added to the total price

No. There's a golden rule in the aviation industry that any bags checked in much tally with a human sitting in a seat on the plane. If somebody disappears between check-in and the gate, for example, the plane isn't allowed to leave until that person's luggage is offloaded. This is to stop people checking into flights with bombs in their cases and then just disappearing, leaving the plane and all its passengers to blow up in the air.

You have to provide passport details for each passenger flying, and they then have to check in with their bags, and board the flight with them. So the answer's no, you can't.

No, you can't do this, and your additional weight up to 15kg would cost just £35 (£70 for two additional bags), which is not too excessive. Another option is that you are allowed up to 10kg each in cabin luggage free (see http://www.ryanair.com/en/questions/cabin-baggage-allowance) so if you had not considered this, your additional weight would cost you nothing.

I would contact either:- First Luggage Limited or TC Freight First Luggage will ship bags in advance to your location and are a concierge door to door service. TC Freight are a shipping firm. This might be a good method as you can pack items that you do not need in the UK and they can be held for a while before being delivered to Fue. Good luck with the move.
