How much would a 2 week trip to germany for 1 person cost?

• I have these two friends who were foreign exchange students my sophomore year in high school, both german, and I have decided to take a trip to germany for two weeks and visit them. I plan to stay in cologne to visit one of them for one week and then drive to hamburg and stay there for the second week. How much will it cost for a round trip ticket, food, hotel, car rental, and other expenses? Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

  Trip ticket, try expedia.com. Food, 75 euros a day should be quite enough. Hotel.. depends a lot on where exactly you want to stay and how low you want to go. Car rental, check sixt.de . Do be aware that an automatic transmission will cost extra and you will need an international driver's license.
