Married name in social security card, maiden name on passport?

Hi! I have a small issue i hope you can help me.im originally from peru and a greencard holder, I got married 4 months ago and change to my spouse's lastname. However my green card and peruvian passport still have my maiden name, reason is because we live in tempe arizona and the nearest peruvian embassy is in LA. To change to my new legal name under peruvian law i need to go with my spouse to request a name change to the peruvian embassy and then request a new passport and we havent done it yet becausmy husband has been very busy with work. We are going to peru next month and im very confused, what should i book the tickets as and am i going to have any problems crossing us. Border back. Should i bring my marriage certificate?? Has anybody been through this before?? i really cant change my lastname on my passport because i wouldnt get it back on time so please i need real answers and a solution to this little issue, thank you very very much!!

I suggest that you contact the embassies in the country you are in, and in Peru, explain the situation and ask what they suggest you do. I would think that if you are travelling internationally your tickets should match your passport name, but best to check. This issue must come up pretty frequently.
