What to pack for a holiday to Spain?

Guys - what is the minimum you would pack for a two week summer holiday?

• My wife and kids (and my friend's wife and kids) always pack far too much for a sun holiday when we go away together. Last year we took two houses in inland Spain and we're fortunate to be going back again next year. We spend most of the time around the pools at one or the other of the houses although we did drive to the resorts on the coast a couple of times and also had a couple of days out in the local towns. However, my friend and I have moaned so much about how much they all pack that they have challenged us to see how little we can manage with. We think we only need shorts and swim shorts and could go shirtless all the time at the houses and the resorts so would only need a shirt for visiting the towns, shopping and any meals out. Therefore, we think our minimum for the fortnight is - Two pairs of shorts Two pairs of swim shorts One t-shirt One pair of flip-flops Plus one pair of shorts, t-shirt and trainers worn on the flight out. Could you (or your guy) manage with any less or would you really need to take more?
