What hand luggage can i take on a plane?

  • Here is the stuff i want to take on the plane with me: ipod camera phone ds and games pen an notepad - for playing tic tac toe or hangman or something book diary/journal a lil pack of tissues a jacket incase it gets cold headphones for my ipod my portable ipod charger money to buy stuff and sweets to eat do you think ill be aloud to take all that on the plane especially my ipod and camera cause i want to listen to music and take pictures out the window so do you think that will be ok to take that stuff as my hand luggage cause sometimes they take your stuff away if your not aloud it and i got my camera for my birthday and i dont want them to take it if im not aloud it on the plane.

    They only take things that are against regulation, such as large liquids. They won't take out anything you have there. Just be sure to keep everything off when you're on the plane until you're told it's okay to turn them on.

You can have all of that with you on the plane, but all your electronics must be off and put away (pants pocket, carry-on bag, NOT the seat-front pocket) during take-off and landing (when you're within 3,000m of the ground). You won't be able to use your phone at all during flight, but you can use your iPod and camera, although the flight attendants may not let you take pictures inside the cabin in the interest of other passengers' privacy and for security reasons, and you're probably not going to get great land views above 3,000m, but you can get some nice cloud pictures.

All those are OK. From past bad experiences, I always put a couple of pairs of knickers, a swimming costume/bikini and towel in there as well in case my luggage goes missing for a day or so! If you are landing in the evening/at night in a hot country with mozzies, I would also put some mozzie repellant wipes in there as well - and use them before you get off the plane or you could be eaten alive on your way to the resort!

Everything on the list should be allowed on the plane without any problems. None of them are prohibited (flammable/explosive/corrosive) and restricted such as liquids, gels and pastes which cannot be brought as carry-on in amounts greater than 100ml. In general you are allowed one carry-on bag plus one personal item which includes a camera. A jacket is generally not counted towards your limit and, worst case scenario, you could wear it on the plane. I bring my camera with me every time I fly and occasionally a hand held game system such as a DS. You may not be allowed to take pictures of the inside of the cabin however I have taken a number of pictures through the windows. Of your electronic tems, generally only the phone will need to be turned off and you can carry, but not use it, while onboard the plane. Items such as an Ipod or DS, unless they have a wireless communication setup, can be used. All wireless communication options must be deactivated when any electronic item is turned on.
