How to ship baggage to India from US at very low cost?

• I am moving to India from US and need to send my extra baggage to India. Airlines allow only 2 bags 50lb each and extra bags is too expensive. Is there any option by which I can send baggage to India at low cost?

  When We shipped our things from USA to India for a job in Mumbai, we used a company called Seven Seas Worldwide. They made it quite easy and gave us all the boxes and bubble wrap and tape we needed for free. Anyway, we got a great price and they gave us the option to put it on a boat or send by plane. We chose the boat option because it was cheaper but it took longer. I think it was about 8 weeks or so (can't remember completely). Our stuff arrived, no problems except a few picture frames that broke in transit because we failed to pack them correctly. But we took out the insurance (also cheap) and that replaced the picture frames eventhough we knew it was our fault. They get a thumbs up from us! We actually ended up using them again when we moved from Mumbai to London.
