USPS Lost my package? Suggestions on what I should do?

What happens if USPS lost my package? I have my tracking number and I checked the tracking page for my order yesterday and it said that my package was delivered. But i never got anything. I called them up, they gave me a case number and they told me they will call me back in two business days.. But what if they did lose it? Will i get a refund or what? It was clothes from an online store in case your wondering.. BTW- Has this happened to any of you? What happened after they called you? Thanks

Any claims for lost items usually have to be filed by shipper. Find out if package required delivery to a person or if it could just be dropped off. Did anyone sign for it? Was the address it was left at correct. All things that can lead to a possible valid claim.

Was the item insured? Wether it was or wasn't,file a lost package report at your post office. I would also call the online store and tell them what happened.
