What do you need to go on an airplane?

I'm planning to go on my first airplane trip in few weeks I need help with what i can bring?

  • I think our plan is to go drive to grand forks and fly from there to las vegas i'm bringing both a carry on and a checked bag (i thik its whats its called) anyway im just wondering if i can bring things like deroderent, shaving cream and a disposible razor and aleo vera ( i get bad sun burn) in my checked bag and like do they go through everything or how does it all go??? i think we are flying with westjet if that matters thanks

    All of the things you mentioned will be fine in checked luggage, they are only scared of those items being accessible to you while onboard the flight, e.g. you could possible attack someone with a razor during a flight but if it is in the hold you don't have access to it. They do x-ray the bag to check for explosives/drugs that kind of thing but that shouldn't affect you.

You go through this gate into this private room and specially trained professionals strip your clothes off, then go through your bags. It's scary.

I just got back from a trip last week and I had the same questions. I asked my brother, who has flown so many times, it's crazy, and he told me you could have those in your carry on, but not anything else. I didn't believe him, but I had a pack of disposable razors, deodorant, hair gel and a small bottle of perfume. No trouble. The only thing is, if you have any liquids, put them in a zip-lock bag. I didn't have one and I put them in a shopping bag, haha. I had no problems, so I wouldn't worry at-all. Not as long as you don't plan on high-jacking the plane with razors and shaving cream.
